Integrating interventional procedure data to improve clinician feedback – new technology gains maturity
Nottingham has utilised a rich source of data to improve cardiologist radiation safety awareness and culture. The technology employed is the Philips DoseWise Portal linked to DoseAware radiation dosimeters. We developed a reporting tool that allows clinicians to see their performance in key areas – this continual feedback allows continuous scrutiny on radiation and technique issues. It has allowed for discussions with trainees regarding radiation protection and clinical technique.
